About

I was born in Kentucky, and as a child in elementary school in the tiny town of Kirksey, Ky., I was "called" to be a nurse.

Over the past 27 years, the Lord has honored His call on my life and it has been such a blessing and wonderful journey.  I was raised as a PK (preachers kid), and I am so thankful for my Christian heritage.  I have a love for missions, and I've had the opportunity to be a part of work and witness teams in the Philippines, Mexico, and Russia. I always thought that God would send me to the mission fields as a missionary nurse, but instead, he has let me be a part of mission fields here at home.

I know the Lord lead me to Mercy Children's Clinic and I love being part of the team! During my first week at MCC, my heart was so humbled to be part of each day with staff encircled together holding hands and lifting up needs and requests to the Father.  It is a privilege to "offer a simple cup of cold water" in His name and sit back and watch how He works in the lives of others.

God has blessed me with a wonderful husband, a true servant of the Lord, to share my life with over the past 27 years.  We have two wonderful sons, and now a precious 4 month old grandson.  We worship with our church family at Whispering Hills Church of the Nazarene in Brentwood where God is doing great things!

I enjoy hiking, backpacking and camping.  My two favorite places to get away are the mountains and ocean.

Favorite Scripture

Isaiah 40:31  "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
