Our Staff > Management > Jonathan Boye

My professional journey began as a Teacher/Counselor at Magnolia Academy.  This organization was a level 2 & 3 wilderness boot camp for misguided children.  It was this adventure that would lead me to take a position at a more traditional wilderness program called Three Springs.  During my tenure with Three Springs, I was promoted from a counselor to a supervisor over a short term program called Leaps. The Lords equipping did not stop here for the Lord was stirring my heart to go back to school in order that I get my Masters.

I moved to Waxahachie, Texas to obtain a Masters in Counseling/Psychology at Southwestern Assembly of God University (SAGU).  Upon graduating from SAGU, I gained employment at Adapt of Texas.  Adapt was a private organization working with consumers, family members, and other providers to develop recovery-oriented services for those who suffer from psychological disorders. It was here that I started as a community support specialist and moved into a Team Leader position over a county.  From at Adapt, I moved to Wylie Center at Holston United Methodist Children’s Home, where I became a director for a residential treatment center. As recently, my journey has led me to head up Mercy Family Services.

I am married to Rachel Boye and have two girls named Lauren Alaetha Boye, which means victorious in truth and Evangeline Celeste Boye, which means bearer of Good News from the heavens.

Some of my hobbies are karate (where I am 3rd degree black belt in Wado-Ryu), hiking, skiing, and collecting old metal lunchboxes. I am also a licensed professional counselor with a mental health specialist provider specification.

My favorite scriptures is (Matthew 9:35) Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
